Peelz Scrubs Review: The Best Scrubs for a Busy Pediatrician?
Hello, my creative friends! Today’s post is a little different. This is my honest Peelz Scrubs review. You all know me as the sewist who is constantly at my machine, “sewing for my sanity.” Well, this post is about my other uniform. Did I say uniform in this space of maximum creativity?
Now, I don’t wear scrubs every day. But on the days when I’m rounding at the hospital, I want to be comfortable, and my scrubs are a non-negotiable part of my professional gear. And scrubs are great for those days when you want to look polished and professional but coordinating an outfit isn’t it. Especially in the winter months, I struggle with seasonal affective disorder so having something to quickly jump up and put on — this is essential!
My “Why” for High-Quality Scrubs
My clinic days are one thing, but my hospital days are a different beast. I need a different work wardrobe that can keep up and is comfortable. My days as a resident and medical student were filled with baggy-oversized-ill-fitting-one-size-fits-some-scrubs.
I’m on my feet for 12+ hours. I have to bend and move a lot. I have to run to codes. I have to catch babies and do procedures. The last thing I want to be thinking about is whether my waistband is digging in or if I’m going to rip a seam. And the worst when you are my size, shape and height is your scrubs falling down or making you look shorter.
My scrubs need to be comfortable, flexible, and functional—no questions asked. So when the team at @PeelzScrubs sent me a set to try, I was all in for an honest test drive on a real-deal hospital day.
So, here is my full, honest Peelz Scrubs review.
The Review: First Impressions & Fit
I tried the Sophia V-neck top (size medium) and the Arabella Cargo Jogger 5-pocket pant (size S-petite) in this beautiful, professional Heather Grey color.
Right out of the package, the fabric felt incredibly soft, lightweight, and premium. The fit was the first big win. As a petite woman (I’m 4’11.5″), finding joggers that don’t bunch up at the ankle or look baggy is a constant struggle. These hit perfectly. The fit is tailored and modern without being tight, and the wide, yoga-style waistband is extremely comfortable.

The “Hospital Day” Test: A Full Peelz Scrubs Review
This is where this set truly shines.
The 4-Way Stretch: The video says it all. This fabric moves. The 4-way stretch is no joke. From squatting down to talk to a toddler to running to a code, I never felt that awful, restrictive pull across the back or thighs. They passed the “all-day” test with flying colors.
The Pockets (The Real Star): This is where the designers at Peelz actually thought about what a healthcare professional needs.
- The Hidden AirPod Pocket: My favorite feature, hands down. It’s a tiny, perfectly designed pocket hidden inside the waistband, designed specifically to secure your AirPod case. It’s genius, and it means no more fumbling in my cargo pocket.
- The Zipper & Cargo Pockets: The pants have deep, functional cargo pockets, including one with a secure zipper. It’s perfect for my phone, wallet, or badge, and I don’t have to worry about anything falling out when I’m running around.
My Final Verdict: Are Peelz Scrubs Worth It?
My honest answer is a resounding yes.
For those intense, high-movement hospital days, they are a new favorite. They’ve clearly put a lot of thought into the function of these scrubs, not just the fashion. The 4-way stretch is a must-have, and the smart, secure pockets are a genuine innovation. They’ve definitely passed the pediatrician test and earned a top spot in my work-wear rotation.
For any of my fellow healthcare pros, or any sewist who just loves a really good, functional jogger set, I highly recommend checking them out.
It’s a joy to find a “uniform” that can truly keep up. It frees up my mind to focus on what matters—catching those babies!—and saves my creative energy for when I finally get back to my sewing machine.
Stay sane, and happy sewing (or scrubbing)!
