D’iyanu Review, my first mystically beautiful purchase

This is the first of many ready-to-wear clothing reviews, a D’iyanu review. Just because I sew doesn’t mean that I don’t like to purchase quality garments. D’IYANU is a fashion line that offers affordable, trendy clothing with bold prints inspired by African designs. The black-owned brand is committed to providing quality clothing incorporating African culture into modern fashion. The brand offers unique and stylish clothing for men, women, and children inspired by African prints and designs. The designers incorporate these elements into modern and wearable pieces. D’iyanu has a wide range of clothing options, from dresses and jumpsuits to shirts and pants that are perfect for any occasion.

What does it all mean?

The name D’IYANU carries a powerful message. It serves as a beautiful reminder that each person is uniquely and wonderfully made and should dress in a way that reflects this truth. The brand represents the beautiful fusion of African and European cultures through the combination of French and Yoruba languages.

One thing that sets D’iyanu apart from other fashion brands is that every D’IYANU garment is designed from scratch by our all-female design team.

The Akinyi blouse looked fabulous at work

Another great thing about D’iyanu is its inclusive sizing. They offer a range of sizes from extra small to 3XL, so everyone can find a piece that fits them perfectly. It is an essential quality in a world where many fashion brands only cater to a narrow range of sizes. This D’iyanu review will only be on the garment I purchased at a 15% discount.

D’iyanu review, Akinyi blouse

My first purchase was a simple button-up women’s blouse, Akinyi. It shipped to me in plain packaging. I had to press it out, but I was more than pleased once I did. A well-crafted placket hides the buttons, and the material is superbly Ankara (Dutch wax). You all know how much I love to sew with Ankara fabric. I’m always a little put off when I buy a garment that claims to be made with this technique, but the underside demonstrates that it was made with the knock-off, low-quality technique– not my experience with D’iyanu. So I am happy to do a D’iyanu review, knowing the excellent quality blouse I received.

D’iyanu is an excellent brand for anyone who loves unique, stylish clothing. With their range of sizes and styles, there’s something for everyone in their collection. So, whether you’re looking for a statement piece for a special occasion or a comfortable and stylish outfit for everyday wear, D’iyanu has you covered. I styled this with both a handmade leather skirt–McCalls 8419 and purchased pants from Boden; both were fantastically paired.
